As mentioned above, the price on an external hard drive is predicated on two different factors. The more memory you are looking to add is the biggest factor to look at. Obviously, the more memory you want, the more it will cost. The other factor is the manufacturer. It is a better idea to try to get the external hard drive from the same company which made your computer if possible. If it is not possible, a better bet is to go for a middle of the road manufacturer. You will spend less, but still get good quality.
